The Innovative App
Challenge encourages middle and high school students to get to work
creating “design concepts for mobile apps that integrate STEM and address a
problem in the students’ school or community.” Verizon has made available help
via instructional videos for students who wish to take on this challenge. Five
middle schools and five high schools will each receive a cash grant of $10,000
in addition to “training and support to build the apps and bring them to
market.” Registration opened mid-October
2012. All entries must be submitted
between December 1 2012 and January 18, 2013.
