What's Classroom Walkthrough Technology?

It's a way to evaluate good teaching that the Great Books Foundation is developing for Teachscape. With Classroom Walkthrough 3.0 (CWT 3) school administrators can "observe and record classroom teaching strategies to make data-driven decisions for teacher professional development planning and implementation." Great Books Foundation will create "look fors", which will help administrators help teachers with instructional improvement, especially as it relates to inquiry and higher level thinking skills. Great Books Foundation is also in the process of creating a training program that will help administrators make efficient use of the "look fors" and other parts of the program. The Teachscape product is expected to launch in May 2009.
