A new edition of Apple's iWork Suite, a program that can create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations is ready for preview. The software works with Intel Macs, PowerPC G5 Macs, and PowerPC G4 Macs (500 MHz or faster) and provides ways to share with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Presentations made in iWork can be emailed in PowerPoint or PDF format. iWork's Pages word processor/desktop publisher can give full screen views, create dynamic outlines, help with endnotes and bibliographies, and do mail merge to a spreadsheet. The Numbers spreadsheet features easy-to-use formulas, table categories, advanced charts, formula lists, and template choosers. The presentation part of the suite, called Keynote, includes chart animations, a theme chooser, additional transitions, one-click transitions, and the ability use an iPhone or iPod Touch as a controller. Some of the free iWork Suite '09 tutorials available online help you make a presentation look great, organize data, do a mail merge, edit charts—you name it.
