So many schools and districts have tried different schemes involving performance-based pay, but awarding this type of pay is not as simple as it sounds. How might performance be judged while taking into consideration subject area, grade levels, student ability, curriculum, materials and resources available, learning problems, schedules, and a host of other factors that make comparison and evaluation of teachers difficult.
