David Pogue at The New
York Times recently reviewed several cell phone apps that can be used to
prevent texting while driving. As Pogue points out “We know this, we get this, but we keep doing it. About half of all
teenagers admit to texting while driving, for example, no matter how many
statistics and horror stories we pass along to them.”
And how does the phone
know when you are driving? It uses the built GPS function on the phone to
calculate the speed – if you are going more than 10 miles an hour you are
busted. This is definitely an article for all parents or concerned spouses to
take a look at and Pogue does a good job of discussing the features and
fallbacks of each.
Thanks for your comment truck steps. i have been fascinated recently with the car ads that talk about how you car can help you think because others are too busy texting. Not good.

I would be willing to try it, I'm up for anything that will save lives. The ability to prevent texting while driving is something to rejoice, no matter where it comes from.
