I like the idea of accountability software. I also had a chat with the Net Nanny folks at NECC and they brought up a good point about filtering software. Few of us want to be exposed to the porn and hate that is on the Internet. In the end with all of this, as they pointed out also, what is most important is keeping lines of communication with your kids open about what they accidently stumble into, why some sites are just bad, and and what being a good digital citizen is all about.

I think the phrase "family online safety" program is better than "parental control." Teens and kids need to have an investment in their own safety online.

With that in mind have you ever heard of accountability software? Accountability software is specifically for adults who want to guard where they go online without any blocking or filtering.
