Parents are always looking for alternatives to commercial video games and looks like the Minnesota Zoo has a winner on their hands. WolfQuest is a realistic simulation of life as a wolf in Yellowstone National Park (available as a free download at http://www.wolfquest.org) as players learn to hunt, survive, defend their territory and ultimately find a mate and establish their own pack. The game is aimed at 10 to 15 year olds, often an age group that stops coming to the zoo, in hopes of rekindling their interest in biology and conservation. Looks like this may be just the first installment. Give the game a try and help the wolf pack grow!
