Readalong Stories and Poems

Reading Is Fundamental offers a number of illustrated stories and poems that students can listen to online. In the RIF Reading Planet section of the site, there’s Mice-Tro Mozart, a mouse who loves music and causes a sensation at the opera Aida. It’s packed with images children will enjoy and wonderful music, too. Some of the other stories are Jungle Eyes, The Frog Princess, and MacMighty. There are also song-stories in English and Spanish, like Headin’ South, which is about a goose traveling on an iceberg and Los Elefantes, where students can sing along with elephants. While checking out this the readalongs, take a look at the rest of Reading Planet with its children’s activities, labs, games, and more. You’ll also want to go to RIF’s Learning to Read area, which includes lots of fun activities for Preschoolers, ages 3-5.
