Each year at the National Education Computing Convention (NECC) we see just a few "Wow!" products. One of those for 2009 was Epson's PowerLite Presenter ($799 for schools), which will be available sometime in October. It's been called the "ultimate" all-in-one presentation device, for it has excellent projection output together with a DVD player and sound system. You can connect your computer, thumb/flash drive, or iPod-type device by USB and add a microphone to amplify your voice in the classroom. All this is packaged into a neat 9 lb. box with a handle so that you can transport it easily between classrooms. No more worrying about finding and connecting the right cables and hooking up speakers on a media cart—think of the convenience of simply inserting a flash drive or a DVD and having your (or your students') presentations ready for viewing.
