Three of our blog readers recommend programs they've developed/and or they recommend to help teachers and school administrators with parent-teacher conference scheduling. Parent Locker offers parent-teacher scheduling plus tools such as gradebooks, photo albums, calendars, chat, and more. PTCWizard, which concentrates upon scheduling only, does PT scheduling and team scheduling. PTConference handles Parent-Teacher conference scheduling and provides a method of distributing information to parents. If you are looking for parent-teacher conference software or online scheduling programs, you'll want to investigate these three products to see if they will help you take the drudgery out of scheduling conferences.
Thanks to feedback from teachers and parents - we've added new features at VolunteerSpot that make conference scheduling even easier (and still FREE):
* Invite parents w/a URL link
* Add parents without email addresses
* Include assistant organizers (like a room parent)
Please check us out and let VolunteerSpot save you time this semester:

Last year I suggested that my school use the volunteer and signup forms found at www.signupgenius.com
Of course my class mom was great, but we had more participation from the other parents than we have ever had, and it seems that we seldom heard the excuse "I forgot" We always had plenty of volunteers, tissues, glue sticks, snacks and juice boxes.
And scheduling parent teacher conferences were a snap!
As the new school year roll around, I am including the link in all my paperwork to ensure that everyone knows to expect emails and reminders from our class mom using sign up genius.
I am going to present it to other teachers and hopefully their class moms will be agreeable to organizing the classroom activities in a super manner!

VolunteerSpot looks like a very useful program for schools and community organizations.
