Cable Leaders in Learning Awards

Forty-four education leaders were selected as Finalists for this year's Cable in the Classroom (CIC) Leaders in Learning Awards. Winners, selected from among the Finalists, will receive $3000 and a trip to Washington, D.C., where they will be honored at the Library of Congress. Some of the programs initiated by the Finalists were digital communication between students of several different nations, professional development for teachers of algebra, learning about information technology trends, and creating collaborative reports through use of a Wiki. Criteria for selection of the Finalists included: General Excellence, Media Literacy Education, Cable Partnerships for Learning, and Pushing the Envelope.
