Marcia's Bio

Marcia Lustgarten

Marcia Lustgarten began her teaching career at the School for Language and Hearing Impaired at P.S. 158 in Manhattan where she taught for nine years.  She then worked as a mentor, training new teachers in East Harlem.

Marcia has been working on education initiatives at Cablevision since 1996, and it was her vision that led to the development of Cablevision's Power to Learn program.  She has been the Senior Education Advisor to Power to Learn for the past ten years helping to develop content and create partnerships that offer exciting learning opportunities for the children and parents in our communities.

Marcia received a degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Lehman College, and completed a fellowship at Boston University, receiving a Masters degree in teaching children with language and hearing impairments.
