IBM has announced that it is opening a new customer service center for Asia. But people won't be able to phone in or walk in. Instead they will be dealing with avatars on the popular virtual reality site known as Second Life. Interesting that they are starting with Asia. Maybe that's because so much customer service work is being handled there in today's "flat" world. Not sure how such a thing would go over here in the US where people still complain bitterly about technology customer service.
